Aranda Bushland Circuit starts from the parking area just off Bindubi Street, Belconnen, explores the woodland of Aranda Bushland Nature Reserve via various tracks and loops back to the start. Conveniently reachable and dog-friendly, this walk gives you a great deal of nature in a quite reasonable amount of time. You won’t miss the infamous Telstra Tower of Black Mountain, a man-made structure that almost seems rebelling against nature, as you’re enjoying the scenic tracks around the reserve. You’ll be accompanied by big groups of kangaroos and even kookaburras if you’re lucky, as there are birdhouses attached to trees along the way. Get a good hold of your dog’s leash around them just in case. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started Starting from the dirt parking area just off Bindubi Street(750 metres north of intersection with William Howell Drive), head towards the wooden “CANBERRA NATURE PARK ARANDA BUSHLAND” sign along the dirt path, moving directly away from the road. As you come to the concrete footpath, turn left and start moving parallel to the fenceline and the road to continue along Aranda Bushland Circuit.....

After another 85 m (at the intersection of Power Line Track & Aranda Summit Track) continue straight, to head along Power Line Track.
After another 50 m pass the sign (on your left).
Continue straight.
After another 30 m continue straight, to head along ridge walk.
After another 275 m (at the intersection of Frost Hollow to Forest Walk & ridge walk) veer right, to head along Frost Hollow to Forest Walk.
After another 285 m head up the earthen steps (about 3 m long)
After another 3 m (at the intersection of Power Line Link Track & Frost Hollow to Forest Walk) continue straight, to head along Frost Hollow to Forest Walk.
After another 110 m pass the sign (on your right).
After another 10 m (at the intersection of Power Line Link Track & Frost Hollow to Forest Walk) turn right, to head along Power Line Link Track (a vehicle track).
After another 35 m pass the sign (on your right).
After another 150 m (at the intersection of Finneran's Road & Power Line Link Track) turn sharp right, to head along Finneran's Road.
After another 350 m head through/around the gate.
Turn right.
