Hard track
Starting at Turros Falls Road car park this return walk takes you through Wadbilliga National Park all the way to the viewing platform. There you will have an open view over the park and see the great Turros Falls. Let us begin by acknowledging the Ngarigo people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

  • Turn on to Badja Forest Road then drive for 4.5 km
  • Turn right onto Peters Road and drive for another 1.3 km
  • Keep right onto Tuross Falls Road and drive for another 6.7 km
  • Continue and drive for another 45 m

Start.
Find the car park at the start.
Find the toilet at the start.
Find the Cascades Camping Area - Wadbilliga NP at the start.
This is a free campsite.
The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to two lookouts with views over The Cascades. To start this optional side trip turn right here. On returning from this side trip veer right when you get back to this intersection. Details below.
After another 35 m turn left.
After another 95 m come to the "The Cascades Viewing Platform" (120 m on your right).
After another 45 m pass the "The Cascades" (150 m on your right).
After another 400 m cross the bridge (about 6 m long)
After another 1.5 km come to a viewpoint.
Turn around here and retrace the main route for 2 km to get back to the start.

Side trip to two lookouts with views over The Cascades.

After another 55 m veer left.
Then head down the 31 earthen steps (about 20 m long)
Then head down the 34 earthen steps (about 30 m long)
After another 30 m come to the "The Cascades Viewing Platform" (on your right).
Then pass a seat (on your left).
After another 25 m head down the 19 steps (about 15 m long)
After another 8 m head down the 37 steps (about 15 m long)
After another 10 m come to a viewpoint.
About 35 m past the end is "The Cascades".
The end.
Turn around and retrace your steps back the 215 m to the main route.
