This rock formation really does look like a Whale. The walk down from Boundary Rd is the shortest and easiest way to see Whale Rock. The walk follows a management trail the short distance to an intersection where you will find Whale Rock. This walk starts at the end of Boundary Rd in North Epping. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Before you start any bushwalk ensure you;

Turn on to Beecroft Road Offramp then drive for 80 m
Turn left onto Beecroft Road and drive for another 1.1 km
Turn sharp left onto Langston Place and drive for another 550 m
At roundabout, take exit 2 onto Oxford Street and drive for another 200 m
At roundabout, take exit 3 onto Oxford Street and drive for another 320 m
At roundabout, take exit 1 onto Norfolk Road and drive for another 1.4 km
Turn left onto Boundary Road and drive for another 150 m

Getting started From the end of Boundary Rd the track heads past the gate following the sign, Bounday Rd Fire Trail. The track winds down the hill to pass over several speed bumps to come to the sandstone feature of Whale Rock.....

At the intersection of Boundary Road Firetrail & Boundary Road Start heading along Boundary Road Firetrail (a vehicle track).
Continue another 260 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 260 m to get back to the start.
About 10 m past the end is "Whale Rock".
