Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Yosemite National Park. Used to be at the Wawona Campground. Original Calvary office.

Correct, at Wawona in Yosemite NP. Yes, originally used by the military administration of the park. It's been moved a couple of times, signed Acting Superintendents Office.

Thanks. I will try and do a better job this time.

Will accept the mountain - and no, it is not Edith Cavell, neither was the other (it was Sir Sandford). But, bonus points for the trail we are on. I can give a clue but all you smart people might guess it without a clue.

Should be a give away now.

Is it in France? Is it the field or the mountain range that is infamous?

Reckon you're right... I think it's the outlet of Lake Harris (the Route Burn itself).

This photo (among others) would appear to confirm Lake Harris:

Considering the game rules, I reckon you should go WFBW.
