Description
This is a historical Hydro Electric Commission Hut originally built for their Hydrographers to stay in the field in. This one is preserved by its isolation and has been out of use since the mid 1960's by the HEC. Its main access is via the Davey River as there are no tracks leading to it apart from a short haulage track for river rafters wishing to avoid the Gorge with their boats.
PLEASE TREAT THIS HUT GENTLY- IT HAS HUGE HISTORICAL VALUE!
