Description
Mount Ossa is Tasmania's Highest Peak at 1614m. It is located in the Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Clair National Park. The Mount Ossa Track is a side trip from the famous Overland Track and begins at Pelion Gap.
The Mountain itself is composed almost entirely of dolerite rock that dates back to the Jurassic period.
