Description
The Ben Lomond Plateau is a high relatively flat dolerite Plateau in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania and is the dominant feature of the Ben Lomond National Park. The Plateau is nearly 100 square kilometres in area and is an excellent example of a Tasmanian alpine environment. Legges Tor is the highest point on the Ben Lomond Plateau and the second highest peak in Tasmania. It is on the eastern edge of the plateau.
There is an establish ski resort on the eastern slopes of Legges Tor. The Carr Villa to Alpine Village walk takes you via Legges Tor.
