A relatively new hut, completely reconstructed by the Mountain Huts Preservation Society in 2003 to replace the original hut which was destroyed by fire. The hut is constructed from timber and corrugated iron and has a small porch/deck area overlooking a shelf at the edge of the great western tiers.
The hut sleeps approximately 8 people on bunks along the southern wall, each with its own foam mattress. The hut is heated by a methylated spirits powered heater, and also has a stove which uses the same type of fuel. The hut also has a composting toilet a short walk to the east.
Lady Lake hut is accessible from Higgs Track, roughly 1-2hrs climb from the track start. From here, Higgs track continues south across the central plateau to Ironstone Hut (also known as Lake Nameless Hut).
Higgs Track is accessible from Westrope Road, which is in turn accessible from Western Creek Road. The track start, and turnoff from Westrope Road are signposted.
